OpenText Tableau Forensic Imager (TX2)

CUSTOM-BUILT FOR DIGITAL INVESTIGATIONS

The future of digital forensic imaging is here.  The TX2 from OpenText Forensic is built on an Intel Xeon-D server-class platform at clock speeds up to 3.5 GHz.  Designed by Tableau product development as the successor to the venerable TX1 imager, the TX2 leverages the proven strengths of its predecessor for even greater performance, innovative added features, and I/O port upgrades.

Forensic TX2 Imager offers a range of advanced capabilities, such as:
  • Dual 10GbE network connections, for direct to network imaging and output
  • Source ports: (2) USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) Type-C, (2) PCIe Gen3 x4, (2) SATA Gen3
  • Destination ports: (2) USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) Type-C, (2) PCIe Gen3 x4, (2) SATA Gen3 (with an option for an additional (2) SATA Gen3 via TX2-S1 drive bay)
  • Accessory ports: (2) USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 Gbps) Type-C
  • Optimized internal cooling to insure maximum performance of system internals
  • Concurrent image verification to reduce overall imaging times
  • Parallel Hash Verification (patent pending) to reduce readback verification times, while retaining traditional sequential hashes in the forensic data output
  • The industry’s first support for “Tree Hashing” to enable massive parallelization of both the acquisition and readback verification process
  • Multi-Factor authentication based upon the PIV Smart Card (NIST FIPS 201-3 standard), using the YubiKey architecture
  • Efficient destination drive reconfiguration – remove protected regions, wipe, encrypt and/or format devices in one seamless process
  • Ability to recognize, notify, and ultimately image NVMe detached namespaces on NVMe SSDs
  • Enhanced triage capabilities using gallery view with image scrolling
  • HotSwap support for PCIe-based media, maximizing TX2 power in use
  • Dynamic assessment of available system resources to start additional jobs with the ability to manually kickoff queued jobs
  • New, high-performance adapter technology
  • Larger (8″) and enhanced (800x1280p) LCD touch screen, compared to TX1
  • And more!

The TX2 delivers huge gains in performance while retaining the same workflow and intuitive user interface as the Tableau TX1 and TD4 products. The learning curve to add TX2 to your imaging arsenal is minimal.

New style adapters (TA7-x) must be purchased separately and are required for use with TX2’s PCIe Gen3 x4 interface. These adapters are not included with the imager by default.
